Hello Canada – Agencies – American businessman Elon Musk revealed that a spacecraft carrying a human-like robot called “Optimus” will launch to Mars in late 2026
He added that if the robotic missions go well, it is possible to send spacecraft carrying humans by 2029
He continued: “If these landings (on Mars) are successful, human landings could begin by 2029, although 2031 is the most likely date (for a successful landing).”
In December 2024, Musk predicted that unmanned Starship vehicles could land on Mars within the next two years, while manned missions could launch there within the next four years
Musk also said that humanity must master interstellar travel, otherwise it could disappear in the future due to the expansion of the sun or a collision with an asteroid
