The Minister of Migration meets with the President of the Republic to discuss ways to resolve the displacement file and activate the role of international organizations.
On Monday, the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Ms. Evan Faeq Jabro, met with His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, at the Baghdad Palace. During the meeting, they discussed the ministry’s efforts and plans to address the displacement issue in the country.
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the Ministry of Migration and Displacement’s commitment to fully resolving this issue and ensuring the voluntary and safe return of displaced persons to their original areas after rehabilitating the areas, in cooperation with the relevant government authorities.
The Minister expressed her appreciation for His Excellency the President’s support of the ministry’s efforts and his direct interest in the issue of displaced persons. She highlighted the importance of strengthening coordination with United Nations organizations and urging them to fulfill their humanitarian commitments toward those affected, contributing to sustainable solutions that end the suffering of thousands of families.
On his part, His Excellency the President emphasized the importance of uniting all national efforts, and the role of government bodies and international organizations in successfully implementing the reconstruction plan and ensuring a dignified and safe return for all displaced persons.
