Windsor, ON – On Friday, the Integrative Canadian Group Organization (ICGO) met with local MPPs to celebrate the $110,400 Resilient Communities Fund grant they received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF)
“It is my pleasure to congratulate the Integrative Canadian Group Organization on the award of this well-deserved OTF grant,” said Lisa Gretzky, MPP for Windsor West. “The organization provides invaluable services to our community, and it is heartening to see they have been able to weather the pandemic and emerge stronger than ever”
Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Andrew Dowie added: “Windsor’s diversity is among our greatest strengths, and this diversity is bolstered by the work of the Integrative Canadian Group Organization (ICGO) in supporting newcomers as they settle into our community. Our new residents originate from all walks of life, and this funding plays a key role in assisting families of Arab origin in navigating government services and fostering their community connections, by enhancing ICGO’s service capacity to meet increasing demands”
The funding, received in March of 2022, allowed ICGO to rebuild and recover from the impacts of COVID-19 by hiring staff, purchasing equipment, and completing renovations to meet demand and support safer service delivery
The ICGO has been a proud non-profit Organization serving our region for almost a decade, with hundreds of volunteers and members, working collaboratively with other terrific organizations in the community to serve the public. The ICGO is also registered with the United Nations. The ICGO looks forward in utilizing and implementing these new Ontario Trillium grant funds to further service the community, along with a special new program
The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), an agency of the Government of Ontario, and one of Canada’s leading granting foundations celebrates 40 years of grant making in Ontario and making a lasting impact in communities. Last year, OTF invested nearly $209M into 2,042 community projects and partnerships, which included funding for the Government of Ontario’s Community Building Fund. Visit otf.ca to learn more
