According to the provincial statement on Tuesday, workers in Ontario’s public education and several essential health care facilities will have to implement vaccination protocols to prevent spread of COVID-19.
The provincial government issued a news announcement as it prepared for the 4th wave of the pandemic. Saying regulations were needed to limit the spread of the highly infectious delta variety as the fall and winter approach.
Ontario will stay in the last stage of its “Roadmap to Reopen” strategy for the time being. Pausing further lifting of remaining restrictions and workplace safety measures. The province will provide booster doses to vulnerable groups and increase COVID-19 vaccination eligibility to children turning 12 this year.
