The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation has raised a record breaking $2.7 million through the Grow on Windsor Campaign – with the funds earmarked to purchase the DaVinci Xi Surgical Robot for the centre
The robot replaces a previous DaVinci robot, which has performed robotic procedures on local cancer patients for over a decade
The DaVinci robot is used to perform minimally invasive surgeries on prostate and kidney cancer patients

The robot has been lauded as a ‘gamechanger’ for cancer care, resulting in shorter hospital stays, faster recovery, improved survival rates, and a reduction in organ trauma
