The year Logan was born, the Disney brothers launched their cartoon studio. Colour television was still 20 years away. The USSR was born<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One month before she was born the United States Attorney General made it legal for women to wear trousers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\u2019s seen a lot<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ll write a book,\u201d she jokes<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She says she\u2019s made it this far thanks to faith and love \u2013 particularly that from her family<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy grandchildren are my medicine,\u201d she says<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey keep me alive. Not the pills I take.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Logan\u2019s centenarian status was celebrated Friday evening with a banquet at the Giovanni Caboto Club \u2013festivities extend into the weekend with a picnic in Wigle Park from 2 \u2013 7 p.m<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All are welcome, you\u2019re just advised to bring a picnic basket and lawn chairs<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Logan\u2019s family is thrilled to take the time to honor her<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe\u2019s a fighter, she\u2019s a go-getter,\u201d says Terryll Chase, Logan\u2019s eldest granddaughter<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s my role model. I want to be like my grandma!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her 100 years living in the Windsor area, Logan has become a staple in her community<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\u2019s been a steadfast supporter of the Amherstburg Freedom Museum and British Methodist Episcopal Church<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This past February, at 99, she was a guest speaker at the church\u2019s annual Valentine\u2019s Day Tea<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI guess I\u2019ve learned a lot,\u201d Logan says laughing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI learned how to be happy. I learned how to be around people, I\u2019m a people person.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
