For the first time in Iraq, the Ministries of Immigration and Higher Education are holding a competitive exam for the Higher Professional Diploma in Migration Management and Sustainable Solutions.
In an unprecedented move in Iraq aimed at developing the capabilities of national personnel and enhancing professional and scientific competence in migration management and sustainable solutions, the Ministry of Immigration and Migrants, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, conducted today the first-ever competitive exam for admission to the Higher Professional Diploma program in Migration Management and Sustainable Solutions.
The exam was held in the presence of Minister of Immigration and Migrants, Ms. Evan Faiq Jabro, at the College of Arts – Department of Sociology at the University of Baghdad, with the participation of more than 32 candidates from various disciplines. They competed for admission to this specialized academic program, which aims to equip participants with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in addressing displacement and migration issues according to the latest global standards and practices.
The ministry affirmed that this program represents a new milestone in specialized academic studies in migration management in Iraq. It is part of its strategy to develop institutional capacities and enhance national competencies, noting that preparing a specialized academic curriculum will provide practical and sustainable solutions to challenges related to displacement and migration, in line with global trends in this field.
