Health Canada has announced job openings for office assistants in several cities across the country, with no college degree required
Positions are available in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Moncton, Halifax, St. John’s, Kingston, and Regina. The
position will be a medical assistant in the Senior Employee Support Program Office within the Administrative Services Branch of Health Canada, the agency responsible for providing health services to federal government employees
Annual salaries range from $62,533 to $67,699
Canadian residents, Canadian citizens, and permanent residents abroad are eligible to apply
Applicants must have completed two years of high school and have experience providing administrative support, using an electronic information management or records system, handling and protecting sensitive information, and analyzing, processing, and responding to customer requests. They
must also have oral and written communication skills in English or French, and some positions require proficiency in both languages
A certificate or diploma in medical assisting from a post-secondary educational institution or experience working as a medical assistant in a clinic or medical office is a plus
